... and die of indifference and stubbornness to the present.
just a year ago I learned that my Alma Mater university honorable blocking access to and use of social media portals main (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, MSN). The argument was that students were wasting their time on the network and not devoted time to study.
My argument was always about (and it appears that by then I was not in school) that the solution was not prohibited, but the adaptation and awareness of teachers. Learn to use the tools that students perform for them to get knowledge, not just discard it for not knowing how those "things of the devil."
Infographic that I found this talk the findings on the use that teachers give to Social Media (in the States, ta good). I am delighted, as well as Pearson's study shows is how I would use (and use) the Social Media for teaching.
The truth, no idea if my University will continue the ban. I hope not. Long live the good teaching, indifference die!
